French Minister Recognises Our Employees

Veronique_devolve_rossetLilly's Communications and Government Affairs Director for France, Véronique Delvolve-Rosset reports back after an exciting day for the French affiliate.

On Thursday February 27th, we were proud to welcome Mr Arnaud Montebourg, French Minister of Industry, at our manufacturing site in Fegersheim.

All employees at Lilly France felt the recognition by the French government of the importance of the Fegersheim site for the French pharmaceutical industry. It was also the recognition of our efforts to attract high added value investments, as evidenced by the 90 million euros investment announced last August.

Minister Montebourg visited the insulin cartridges filling areas, watched the ground works of the future extension, met employees and had an interview with Marcel Lechanteur, President of Lilly France and Benelux, regarding strategic issues in the development of Lilly France. During this exchange, discussions focused on the importance of higher visibility, flexibility on employment and predictability of the political and economic environment.
